Ucf Uff Collective Bargaining Agreement

In accordance with Article 30, Article 26 – Compensation is subject to a new opening for the 2019-2020 financial year. Article 26 stipulates that any adjustment to compensation must be considered on the basis of the calendar year (“remuneration cycle”). Article 26 also provides for negotiations on the pay cycle to take place during the fall period. The exact date (s), time (s) and place (s) are published here as soon as the meeting (s) has been scheduled by the Employment Services team. Please participate in our next rounds of negotiations. Thanks to COVID19, all sessions for 2020 will be conducted via Zoom. Please contact Briannis Weston for the zoom code (briannis@ucf.edu). Successful and strong negotiations require listening to our members, understanding the social, economic and political environment and the conditions around us. We, the Act Now team, Scott, Talat, Latarsha and Yovanna, listen and engage with our members who share our arguments, suggestions and strategies. Right now, we are defending our ability, with several complaints going on and negotiations over two months and negotiations on Section 23 of wages. The next rounds of public negotiations are July 9, Article 23 (13:00-15:30), July 21, Impact Bargaining (1:00PM-3:30PM) and July 23, Section 23 (1:00PM-3:300PM). We also participate in 2-3 weekly meetings with our state organization, United Faculty of Florida (UFF).

The agreement provides for a one-time flat-rate bonus for all members of the bargaining unit. The money available for this bonus is 4% of the salaries of all faculty members. Collective bargaining is the process in which the Union and the college meet, discuss and reach an agreement on hours, wages and conditions of employment. The collective agreement is negotiated annually (unless both parties waive this right). Other articles may be opened during these negotiations, depending on previous agreements. All items are ready to negotiate at least every three years. It is therefore possible to have a CBA containing certain items that have been negotiated and updated, while the rest of KBA remains in effect. For example, in the past, the 2010-2012 CBA (the “handshake book”) had all the articles in progress, with a supplement (Article 10, employee performance evaluations) that it replaced. The 2015-2018 collective agreement will take over from all previous agreements. Negotiate at the end of the negotiations for the 2010-2012 CBA. It replaced only the previous article 10. Approved by the BOT on 21.07.2011. Changes to the language of the contract for review here: Article 24 Final Count 2017 (pdf). This agreement was ratified by the foundation board and the bargaining unit. It is in effect on September 7, 2017. On this page, you will find your collective agreement (“CBA” or “faculty contract”) and all contracts signed.
